What's better for the Lions?
(1) The O-Line has clearly benefited from Michael Ola's insertion into the RT post. Not sure what has happened to LaAdrian Waddle, but he's clearly regressed since suffering some injuries. Lucas and Corey Robinson? Meh. Ola has been good. And Stafford is a QB who can kill you IF HE'S NOT PRESSURED. Statistically, he needs time. He got it yesterday, in spades, and you can see the result.
(2) The right play-calling philosophy for this quarterback. Jim Bob Cooter is young, and more of a risk-taker like Stafford is, so this looks like a good match. He just has to start working the TEs in a bit more.
(3) The simultaneous emergence of Ansah, Slay, Nevin Lawson, and Tahir Whitehead, plus a (finally) healthy-seeming Ngata, has the D looking much more like last year's version, which is all good.
Suddenly, Green Bay looks awfully mortal, losing at home in Green Bay weather on Brett Favre Number Retirement day, no less, to 4-6 Chicago. A sweep is absolutely on the table.
